On Friday, January 19th, 2007 at 7 & 9:30pm, the Inter-Media Art Center (IMAC) in Huntington, Long Island will present a concert with swinging Big Band group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 49N or the Northern State Parkway to exit 40N. The exit sign will say Huntington Route 110. After a few miles you will cross Jericho Turnpike. Route 110 will change its name to New York Avenue (but will remain Rte 110). After a couple of more miles, you’ll pass the Huntington train station on your right. About a mile past the train station at 370 New York Avenue, between Carver and Elm Street, still on Route 110 and right in the middle of the block, you’ll see a big old theater building with a flat marquee up against the building. That’s IMAC. We suggest you drive past IMAC to our north corner, Elm Street. Make a right up Elm and you’ll find a large free municipal parking lot. Park and walk back to New York Avenue to enter the theater.

If you’re traveling by train, take the Long Island Railroad to Huntington (the last stop on the Huntington line). Take a taxi to IMAC, 370 New York Avenue. Taxis and trains run all night. 7:10 - 8:00: Dance Lessons, “International-style Waltz, Part 1”,
8:00 - 8:20: Dinner Break (Cold hero buffet, coffee, etc.) (heros include one vegetarian),

9:30 - 11:30 pm: Open dancing with digital DJ music - Ballroom, latin, swing, etc.

The BNL Social & Cultural Club holds weekly dance socials (TGIFs) and workshops at the North Ballroom, Brookhaven Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory every Friday evening from 7 to 11:30 pm.
Unless otherwise noted, workshops and lessons are from 7:10 pm to 9:30 pm with a food break in-between, followed by open social dancing up to 11:30 pm at the Brookhaven Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, New York.
Cost per person: $15(members)/$20(non-members), or $8/$12 for social dancing only without the lessons; members rate applies also to all Bera members with BNL ID, SDLI members with ID, students with school ID, and all subscribers of the Social-L list and the Yahoo DanceLovers group. Dance socials are open to the general public, but require a photo-id at the BNL front gate.
