Saturday, Oct 3, 2015 • Bouncin’ at the Barn: Nick Palumbo and the Flipped Fedoras • SDLI
Nick Palumbo and the Filpped Fedoras will be performing this evening for us in the Smithtown Brush Barn.
A beginner East Coast lesson will be given at 7:30PM to get you on the floor. A few ballroom dances will be in the mix as well.
No partner is needed and beginners are always welcome.

Brush BarnThe Smithtown Historical Society’s Brush Barn is located behind the historic Epenetus Smith Tavern at 211 East Main Street, Smithtown NY 11787 and is not visible from the street. About 0.2 miles east on Main Street from the intersection of Route 111 and Route 25 (Main Street). There is a white house that is #211 (Epenetus Smith Tavern) and a gravel drive beside the house.

A beginner East Coast lesson will be given at 7:30PM to get you on the floor. At 8PM our DJs will be playing some of their great swing dance tunes. A few ballroom dances will be in the mix as well. A hot buffet will be served this evening.
The recently renovated Moose Lodge has a fabulous, HUGE 1000 square foot dance floor, freshly painted walls, new ceiling, new lighting & plenty of tables to relax and chat.
No partner is needed and beginners are always welcome.

Tuesday, Oct 13, 2015 • Swing Dance with West Coast Swing Dance Lesson (Country Two Step Lesson at 6:46PM) • SDLI
On West Coast night in addition to her usual lesson Ellen will be teaching a half hour Country Two Step Lesson starting @ 6:45 for $5.00 additional.
A beginner west coast swing lesson given by Ellen will be given at 7:30PM to get you on the floor. At 8PM our DJs will be playing some of their great swing dance tunes. A few ballroom dances will be in the mix as well.

Mike Ficco and the Long Island Jazz Orchestra will be playing at the Moose Lodge this evening.
Carol will be teaching a Lindy Hop lession from 6:30PM - 7:15PM for an additional cost of $5.

The Long Island Jazz Orchestra, recognized as one of the most exciting and versatile 16-piece big bands in the New York metropolitan area, was formed by Mike Ficco with the area’s finest and most accomplished jazz musicians. The band specializes in performing original distinctive compositions and arrangements of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich and others. SDLI’s Annual Halloween Swing Dance. We will decorate for the season, you can put together a great Halloween Costume. There will be prizes for best costumes.
